The staff reached out to me today and said they were working to keep this from happening again, which I appreciated. I will update after my next appointment to see how the billing goes. In the meantime, I’m bumping it up one more star for their effort.
The staff and doctors and Service were great.
The billing department located in Texas not so much.
I first received a text that was not clear who it was from with a link that sent me to a sign up that needed a lot of information before it would even show me the amount or who it was from, so I did not do that figuring if it was valid, they would have my address and phone number and I would get a bill in the mail.
I’ve had a lot of doctor visits recently so figuring out which one it might’ve been took a while, but after eventually calling Martinsville dermatology, they said yes it was their text. I said why are you not sending me paper bills anymore and told them to send me a paper Bill.
The first picture is the very first Bill I received from them and my address was handwritten, so clearly they don’t really have a great system set up.
Probably two weeks later after I received the first paper Bill I received this notice from a collection agency.
Very frustrating.
I’m putting this out there, hoping that they will see this and get a better system than their current one
Also, if you go there, make sure that they are definitely sending you a paper Bill if that’s what you want.

At the Dermatology and Skin Surgery Center, I was met with a very curtious and friendly staff. The Dr. And his nurses were very knowledgable and up to date on the latest treatments for various skin conditions. I would highly recommend this Dermatology Center to anyone having skin issues.
