Dr. Richard J. Salomon joined The Skin Surgery Center in April of 2016. He serves the Hickory office, also known as Hickory Dermatology, where he has practiced since 1992. Dr. Salomon has been practicing dermatology for more than 30 years.
Dr. Salomon earned his medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor and graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology from Albion College in Albion, Mich.
Dr. Salomon completed a rotating internship at St. Joseph Mercy Ann Arbor in Ann Arbor, Mich. and a residency in Dermatology at UNC Memorial Hospital in Chapel Hill, N.C. Additionally, he completed a Medical Mycology Program and Cutaneous Surgery Program at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, N.C.
Dr. Salomon is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.
Dr. Salomon is recognized as one of Castle Connolly’s Best Doctors.
