A Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native, Dr. Stiegel became familiar with dermatology from a very young age as the son of one of the city’s premier dermatologists.

He graduated from Haverford College in Pennsylvania, where he was a standout tennis and squash player, serving as captain of both teams and earning the college’s award for outstanding athletic achievement and leadership. He then received his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, where he graduated magna cum laude and was inducted into several honors societies including the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha. He subsequently completed his intern year and dermatology residency at the world-renowned Cleveland Clinic, working with leading experts in skin disease and cutaneous oncology.

Dr. Stiegel completed his fellowship training in Mohs Micrographic Surgery, Cutaneous Oncology, and Advanced Reconstructive Surgery with Drs. John Zitelli and David Brodland, considered one of the best Mohs fellowships in the world. His original research has been published in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery, and he has written book chapters on facial reconstruction and laser surgery.

Dr. Stiegel is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and also remains an active member of the American College of Mohs Surgery.
