Ben Treen
MD
A native of New Orleans, Dr. Treen graduated from the University of Georgia before attending MUSC, then returned to New Orleans for residencies in Internal Medicine at Ochsner Medical Foundation and Dermatology at LSUMC. He has brought a wealth of experience to Mohs surgery since 2011.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Treen enjoys a wide range of interests, including music, playing the 5-string banjo, learning electric blues guitar, building stringed instruments, recumbent bicycling, pocket billiards, scuba diving and other water sports, astronomy, Ham radio, Georgia Bulldogs football, motorcycling, word games, hunting, and shooting sports. He is also known among friends and family for his “low and slow” smoked brisket.
Dr. Treen brings the same curiosity, dedication, and sense of purpose to his patient care that he brings to his many interests. He considers healing to be his ministry and values the opportunity to serve patients with skill, compassion, and good humor. Patients may also discover that he appreciates a well-timed dad joke. Outside of medicine, he is a Master Mason and 32° KCCH Scottish Rite Mason.
