Anne Wacker, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant joining Carolina Mountain Dermatology in April 2025. Known to all as Annie, she graduated summa cum laude from the University of South Carolina Honors College in Columbia, SC, with a B.S. in Biological Sciences. At USC, she was also an initiate of the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. She went on to obtain her Master of Health Sciences from the Duke University School of Medicine Physician Assistant Program in Durham, NC, where she graduated as a member of Pi Alpha Honor Society.

Annie is an active member of the North Carolina Academy of Physician Assistants and the American Academy of Physician Associates.

Annie has two years of experience in family medicine in Asheville, NC. During her time as a primary care provider, she learned the value of high-quality patient education, especially regarding skin cancer prevention and detection. Passionate about learning, she is excited to join the Carolina Mountain Dermatology team.

In her free time, Annie enjoys running, reading, and exploring Western North Carolina with her rescue dog, Lucy.
