Zac Johnson

Zac Johnson, MPAS, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant born and raised in Bloomington, IL. He graduated from Illinois State University with a degree in Biological Sciences, where he excelled in both academics and athletics as a team captain and all-conference Division I third baseman.
After graduation, Zac conducted research at Northwestern University’s Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center in the Core Flow Cytometry Laboratory, focusing on myeloid cell differentiation. His work was published in Leukemia Research. He later worked as a certified medical assistant at Dermatology & Mohs Surgery Institute in Bloomington, IL, where his passion for dermatology began.
Zac earned his Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Kentucky, graduating with a 4.0 GPA. He enjoys treating patients of all ages with kindness, empathy, and compassion. Zac takes pride in creating individualized treatment plans and strongly supports shared decision-making.
He is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA).
Outside of medicine, Zac enjoys staying active, golfing, and spending time with his wife, Nicole, and their golden retriever, Lucky.
