Melissa Swigert
NP
Melissa Swigert, FNP-C is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She earned her Associate of Science in Nursing from Kent State University in Ohio in 2004 and began her career as a board-certified registered nurse in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit at Wake Forest Baptist University Medical Center. She later received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Winston-Salem State University in 2007 and spent 15 years assisting with Mohs Micrographic Surgery at The Skin Surgery Center. In 2024, she earned her Master of Science in Nursing with honors.
She is a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants and has completed the SDPA Diplomate Fellowship program. An avid advocate for patient education, Ms. Swigert is committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care for a variety of dermatologic conditions.
Melissa and her husband have two children and enjoy watching them play basketball and baseball. In her free time, she enjoys exercising and baking.
