Kevin Stein
MD
Dr. Kevin Stein joined The Skin Surgery Center in July of 2009. He treats medical and dermatology surgery problems, and he also offers multiple cosmetic skin problem solutions such as pulsed dye laser surgery for numerous indications, BOTOX® and dermal fillers.
Dr. Stein earned his medical degree from West Virginia University School of Medicine in Morgantown and graduated summa cum laude with bachelor’s degrees in Chemistry and Economics from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. He completed an internship in Internal Medicine at the University of Virginia Health System in Charlottesville and a residency in Dermatology at New York Medical College.
Dr. Stein has published numerous articles on such topics as psoriasis and drug-induced photoallergic and phototoxic reactions and a book chapter on eczema. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and member of the American Medical Association and the North Carolina Dermatology Association, where he served as President of the Executive Committee in 2017.
Dr. Stein is Principal Investigator at The Skin Surgery Center for Clinical Research in Winston-Salem, NC, a division of Objective Health. He leads a team investigating new medications to treat common dermatologic conditions including eczema and psoriasis. The center is actively recruiting patients.
Dr. Stein and his wife have 2 children and an assortment of dogs and cats. His favorite hobbies are exercise and music, including piano and guitar.
