Dr. Karen Trygg Wold joined The Skin Surgery Center in April of 2016 and serves the Hickory office, also known as Hickory Dermatology, where she has practiced since 1998. Dr. Wold has been practicing dermatology for more than 25 years.

Dr. Wold earned her medical degree from Rutgers-New Jersey Medical School in Newark. She graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in Zoology from Duke University in Durham, N.C. Dr. Wold completed residencies in Dermatology at The University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa and Internal Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia.

Dr. Wold is a Fellow of the American Board of Dermatology and American Board of Internal Medicine.
