As a Board-certified Dermatologist, Fred Lupton, MD focuses on the treatment of skin disorders and diseases and the diagnosis, prevention and management of all skin cancers, including melanoma. In 1990, he joined Lupton and Hall, PA , the practice started by his father, Emmett Lupton, MD. In 2001, he opened his own practice, Lupton Dermatology & Skin Care Center.
For over 25 years, Dr. Lupton and our staff have strived to provide the highest quality of care to our patients in a pleasant and caring environment. We welcome new patients and continue to enjoy patient relationships that extend over many generations.
Dr. Lupton earned his medical degree from Bowman Gray School of Medicine at Wake Forest University and completed his internship in Internal Medicine at Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem, NC. He completed his residency in Dermatology at University Hospitals of Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH. A graduate of Wake Forest University, he earned his BS in Psychology.
Dr. Lupton is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology (FAAD) and a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology. Active in the North Carolina Dermatology Association, he has served as President of NCDA.
