Dr. David W. Corbett joined Wilson Dermatology Clinic in 2001 as a Fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon.  His practice serves the local community and much of eastern North Carolina.  He has a clinical focus on patients with skin cancer.

Dr. Corbett is a Fellow of the American College of Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology, and he is Board-certified with the American Academy of Dermatology.  He earned his Medical Degree from the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences.  While serving on active duty in the US Navy, he completed a residency in dermatology at the National Naval Medical Center, Bethesda, MD, and continued his military service.  Dr. Corbett completed a fellowship in Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology at Scripps Clinic in La Jolla, CA.

After returning to the National Naval Medical Center, he initially served as a staff dermatologist.  For the final eight years of his military c, reer he was the Chairman, Department of Dermatology and an Assistant Professor of Clinical Dermatology at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences.   He also served as both Consultant to the White House Physician for the President of the United States and Consultant to the Attending Physician for the US Congress.

After a 24 year career, Dr. Corbett retired from active duty as a Navy Captain (06) and assumed his current position with Wilson Dermatology Clinic.
